This year, my friend Valeria and myself were appointed as Co-Deputy Directors of Tiny Piano Productions, the student-managed company that is in charge of the annual Secondary plays of our school. This was a big task for us, as we had to manage the internal affairs of the company as well as taking part in the making of publicity for the play (posters, t-shirts, programs, sponsors, etc.) and also we were given the task of script prompts for the three nights of the plays.

I have never been this involved in a play before, so I decided that this would be a good chance to work with each other and increase my self confidence, things that are important to me for my future after graduating from school.  I also had to develop my time management skills, as I had to do this activity while trying to balance it with my daily school responsibilities, which increased my awareness of time, my organization and also my responsibility and commitment to the school play. I had to stay every night at the presentations of the play in order to take care of the script prompt and also to give the actors and the director of the play a recommendation of what should be improved for the next presentation.

I also gave myself the task to take photos and videos of every rehearsal in the theatre and every presentation so that after the play ended I could create a DVD for the two plays to be sold to The British School Community. However, this DVD is still in the process of making, which is giving me a lot of experience in video editing and also in managing the different media that the Tiny Piano Team recollected for this year's plays.

I found this experience very enjoyable and I really look forward to repeating it next year, as all of this process was in order to prepare my friend and I for taking charge of Tiny Piano Productions fully next year. Even though this task is quite daunting, I look forward to using the skills I learned during this activity in line with the skills that I have been learning in the IB Business and Management course I'm taking in order to increase the profitability of the school play of next year to avoid financial issues like the ones we had these year. in other words, I would want to gain more experience from this type of work, as managing this sort of events is really interesting to me and I find it really enjoyable to manage and work with other people for a common aim.
