Cooking

I chose to take Cooking as one of my extra curricular classes because I wanted to increase my skills to be able to be self sufficient. Even though I have never shown too much interest in cooking, I have cooked with my mother some dishes together and she had also taught me a couple of things prior to joining this activity. The main thing that I wanted to improve was my confidence while cooking.

I took this extra curricular class for approximately 6 or 7 lessons of an hour each, in which I learned how to make cookies, icing,  pizza, muffins and other desserts. I found this very enjoyable, as not only did I learn more and enjoy the product of my work, but I also got to meet girls of other year groups and get to work together with them. I really like that now I can involve myself much more within the school community, as now I'm not as uneasy to speak to someone I haven't met before, which is why I feel that this activity gave me a lot of self confidence and abilities to work with a team.

Unfortunately, I had to leave this activity as I had to take extra Physics class on Mondays, the exact day in which Cooking classes were given, which is why I was unable to keep on attending to the lessons. Despite this, I hope that next year this activity is repeated so I can hopefully take part of it and keep on learning and developing my intra personal skills.
